A Colourful February

I'm in that very strange energy so many speak of. That is, letting go and trusting that the universe will unfold as it should.
I did a few fun and unexpected things in February. One was designing a logo for a beautiful lodge in Tanzania. Another was attending my first ever London Colour Walk at Spitalfields Market. I still can't quite believe the changes that have happened in the twenty something years since I arrived in London with my little suitcase and big dreams. East London back then was definitely not the achingly cool place it is now. It's almost too polished in places.
I didn't really know what to expect from the Colour Walk. I just knew I had to go to lift my mood and find my people. It did not disappoint. So many gorgeous humans and dogs turned up in all of their colourful finery. I was truly amazed by how much effort and pride went into each outfit. Seeing the sheer joy on the faces of some Italian tourists, who were in complete awe, was at times worth more than taking in the sights for myself. Meeting one of my heroes and icons, Sue Kreitzman, absolutely made my year already! Kaffe Fassett is my other one - here's hoping that I'll get to meet him before the year is through. Just putting that out there into the ether.
Filled with inspiration, I continued to build on my stores by adding even more colourful designs and maximalist decor ideas. There is no doubt that colour can influence a mood.
I am itching to buy some paint and make some changes in my little flat. Usually my itching turns into something impulsive and dramatic... let's see.
Keep on seeking inspiration because it let's you know when a change is needed and, ultimately, which direction to go in.
